31c. Import a tenant from a backup zip

To restore a previously-exported tenant, open System → Tenants, click New, and toggle Import from a tenant backup zip. Pick the zip and fill in the Name and URL fields (these override the original name and URL from the backup). Submit. ALMAS:

  • always allocates a brand-new tenant ID (the original ID is never reused, even if it's free),
  • runs the tenancy migrations to set up the new database,
  • restores every table and every file,
  • emails you when it's done.

The original tenant the zip came from is unaffected.
