WhatsApp — connect your number and send templates (2026-10-01)
You can send campaign messages from your own WhatsApp Business number. WhatsApp only allows templates approved by Meta for this kind of message, and ALMAS only sends them to contacts who opted in to WhatsApp. (If you don't see WhatsApp anywhere, your plan does not include it yet.)
Connect. Tenant menu → Tenant settings → WhatsApp. In Meta Business Manager (WhatsApp Manager) copy the WhatsApp Business Account ID, the Phone number ID and an access token, paste them and click Connect number. The token is stored encrypted and never shown again. The card then shows your number, its quality rating and your message templates with their Meta status; Refresh templates reloads them after you create one in Meta. Not supported marks templates with images or variables in the header or buttons — use body-only templates for now. If Meta stops accepting the token the card says Reconnect needed.
Send. On a campaign's Mailings tab click + Mailing and choose WhatsApp. Pick an approved template and, for each {{1}}, {{2}}… in its text, the contact field that fills it (first name, company name…); the box below shows the message. The audience counts only contacts with a phone number and a WhatsApp opt-in. Then it works like an email: submit for review, a person approves it, and once the campaign is at launch you send or schedule it.
Follow up. The mailing row shows sent, delivered, read and replied. Every reply arrives as a note on the contact's company (or lead) and notifies the mailing's owner. If someone answers STOP (or parar, sair, cancelar), they stop receiving WhatsApp messages from you — their email preferences don't change.
Phone numbers are stored in international format (for example
+5511987654321); ALMAS converts local numbers using your Website country and refuses numbers it cannot read.
