Business-health cards on your dashboard

At the top of your dashboard you'll see four business-health cards that summarize the last 12 months of activity:

  • Gross Margin — what share of your revenue is left after the direct cost of delivering it.
  • Rule of 40 — a single SaaS health score that combines how fast you're growing with how profitable you are. (Healthy companies score 40 or more.)
  • Sales Efficiency — how much new recurring revenue you earn for each unit you spend on sales and marketing.
  • LTV / CAC — the lifetime value of a customer compared with what it costs to win one.

Each card shows the number, and you can click it to expand the details — the underlying figures the number was calculated from.

Why a card might say "needs classified expenses"

These numbers depend on knowing which kind of expense each cost is (direct cost, sales & marketing, general & admin, etc.). Until your expenses are sorted into categories, some cards can't be calculated and will show a dash (—) with a short explanation, for example:

  • "No expenses classified as Sales & Marketing in the window." — sort some expenses into the Sales & Marketing category and the Sales Efficiency and LTV/CAC cards will fill in.
  • "No invoiced revenue in the window." — you have no invoices in the last 12 months, so Gross Margin can't be computed.

This is intentional: ALMAS would rather tell you a number is missing than show you a misleading one. Sorting expenses into categories is done in the admin screen below (you'll need administrator access, or ask whoever administers your ALMAS).
