9. Contracts

Contracts track recurring service agreements. They feed your dashboard's ARR (recurring revenue) and OPEX (operating expense) totals.

Two flavours

  • ARR contract — your tenant is the contractor (you provide the service). These contribute to recurring revenue.
  • OPEX contract — your tenant is the hirer (you pay for the service). These contribute to operating expense.

The same record covers both — what changes is which side your company is on.

Creating a contract

Open Accounting → Contracts and click Create. Fill in:

  • Code — unique identifier you assign.
  • Abstract / description.
  • Value and currency.
  • Start date and end date.
  • Type — monthly, yearly, or one-time.
  • Hirer company — who's paying.
  • Contractor company — who's providing the service.
  • Linked project (optional).

Templates

The Templates sub-section lets you save reusable contract bodies. When creating a contract you can pick a template to pre-fill the body text — useful if you reissue similar agreements often.
