2. The shell
Once you're logged in, every page sits inside the same shell: a sidebar on the left, a top bar across the top, and the main content area in the middle.
The sidebar
At the top of the sidebar is the ALMAS pentagon mark — a five-sided logo where each facet represents a module area. As you navigate between modules, the active facet fills with the module's accent color:
- Administration (top-left facet) — blue
#4ea1ff - Legal (top-right facet) — coral
#ff8a73 - Marketing (right facet) — amber
#ffb84e - Accounting (bottom facet) — green
#66e0a3 - Sales (left facet) — violet
#b08bff
The browser tab favicon changes to match, so you can tell at a glance which module is active even when ALMAS is one of many tabs.
The sidebar groups every module into menus. What you see depends on your subscription plan and your role:
- Dashboard — always visible.
- AI Agent — visible if your plan includes AI and your role allows it.
- Accounting — Contracts, Invoices, Purchases, Transactions.
- Sales — Companies, Sales pipeline.
- Administrative — Inventory, Projects, Roles, Support, Tasks, Teams, Users, Workflows.
- Legal — Lawsuits, Patents.
- Marketing — Website tooling.
- System — Plans, Tenants, Users (system administrators only).
- Loose items — Announcements, Invitations, Products.
You can collapse the sidebar to icon-only mode by clicking the toggle next to the ALMAS mark. The collapse state is remembered for next time.
The top bar
The top bar holds the controls you reach for most often:
- Global search — type any project, task, company or invoice name. Results appear in a dropdown as you type. Press
SthenSto focus the box from anywhere. - AI file drop — a small target next to the search box. Drag any file onto it to launch AI File Analysis.
- Notifications bell — shows the count of unread notifications. Click to open a panel listing the ten newest.
- Tenant switcher — shows the tenant you're currently in. Click to switch. See Switching tenants.
- Profile menu — your avatar opens My profile, My timeline and My Favorites, then two groups that open in place when you click them: Progress & rewards (Achievements, Leaderboard, Quests, Recognition, Rewards) and Help (the Android app, the Getting started checklist, Guided tours, the Help center and What's new). The language flags and Log Out close the menu.
- Tenant menu — your workspace name, next to the avatar, switches workspace. Admins also find Tenant settings there, above Add Tenant.
The main content area
This is where each module lives. Most modules follow the same pattern (described under Common patterns below), so once you've used one you'll recognise the others.
Common patterns
Most feature pages share a layout:
- List page — a header with the module name and a Create button (right side), a row of filters (status, date range, priority...), a refresh button, then a table or card grid.
- Create / Edit — opens in a modal dialog. Required fields are marked. Validation errors appear under the field that needs fixing. ESC closes the modal.
- View / Detail — full page with a breadcrumb up top, a status badge, metadata block, and tabs for related data (notes, files, history).
- Context-aware breadcrumbs — when you open a child item from inside a parent (e.g. clicking a task inside a project), the breadcrumb shows the path you took:
Projects > Project ABC > Task XYZ. Click any earlier crumb to return there. Opening the same task from the global tasks list, a notification, or a bookmark instead shows the simplerTasks > Task XYZform. Both URLs work for the same item. - Permission gating — buttons you don't have permission to use are hidden or disabled. Hovering shows why.
- Custom fields (metadata editor) — most entity create/edit forms have a Metadata section near the bottom. Pick a predefined field from the dropdown (e.g. PIX key, Bank account, Contacts list) — the value input adapts to the field type (text, number, date, dropdown, etc.). To add a field that's not in the catalog, switch the row to Other (custom key) via the pencil-icon button and type your own key name. The same editor appears on Profile → Account Settings → Advanced Settings with a tenant-level catalog (date format, default currency). Complex sections like Workflow overrides and Reimbursement policies appear as read-only entries pointing to their dedicated admin pages — they're managed there, not in this editor.
